Terms of use

Play, learn and create responsibly.

These terms cover free guest play for children, teenagers and adult learners, and LearnPlay’s optional account and publishing features.

Using LearnPlay

LearnPlay is operated by NextDNA Edutech LLP. Its school-topic games welcome children and teenagers, with parents, teachers and adult learners welcome too. Games are free to play and do not require an account. Children and teens can use guest play with guidance appropriate to their needs. See our parent and teacher guide.

Adults aged 18 or over can create an adult account. Teens aged 13–17 can create a private account only through a one-use invitation from a verified parent or lawful guardian who has given account consent. Under-13 accounts are not available. Children and teenagers can keep playing as guests without creating an online account. LearnPlay’s account eligibility is a product rule, not a universal legal age threshold.

Use the platform lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, disrupt rooms or servers, bypass safety controls, upload malicious code, or disclose someone else’s personal information.

Learning context

Games offer practice and exploration. Topic and syllabus labels give context; they do not mean official approval by CBSE, NCERT, SCERT or another education authority. Coverage, difficulty and suitability vary. Some games are enrichment experiences outside a chapter’s core coverage.

Scores, badges and completion are game feedback, not accredited qualifications or a guarantee of improved marks. Scientific and educational content may contain errors. Please report an issue so it can be reviewed.

Accounts and your information

Keep account credentials private and give accurate eligibility information. Do not share an adult account with a child or give inaccurate age information to bypass safeguards. An adult declaration or email address is not verified guardian consent. The family account path requires operator review of adult identity and parental or lawful guardianship authority, followed by specific account consent. A teacher account alone does not establish that authority.

Teen accounts use a private made-up nickname profile, built-in character choices, bookmarks and supported private cloud saves. Personal-photo uploads, public account profiles and social features are unavailable. Guardians can withdraw account consent or only publishing permission in Family accounts; a teen can also leave the account. Account withdrawal blocks private cloud features and removes private cloud progress. It is separate from a verified request to close or erase account records.

Read the Privacy Notice and, for teen accounts, the family account notice before creating an account or sending a submission. Use the request channel if you need access, correction, an export or account closure. We may verify authority before responding.

Sharing a game or creator credit

Only submit work you created or have the necessary rights to share, including its code, images, music and other material. Do not copy another creator’s work or use trademarks in a way that falsely suggests affiliation. Do not include personal contact details, private documents, trackers, gambling, hateful or sexual content, or code designed to collect player information.

You retain your rights in your original work. By submitting a game for publication, you permit LearnPlay to store, review, display and make it playable on the platform, and to show the title, description, cover and public credit you approved for that purpose. This permission does not transfer ownership of your original work.

For teens aged 13–17, account consent does not authorise publication. Drafts remain private. Publication requires active guardian publishing consent, guardian approval of the specific project and its public nickname, and LearnPlay moderation. Do not include a child’s identifying information in code, artwork, descriptions or credits. Only the approved nickname and game details are shown; the private account does not become a public creator profile. The teen or guardian can retract a project. Required consent ending makes the teen project unavailable through LearnPlay.

Submissions require review; publication is not guaranteed. LearnPlay may decline, restrict or remove material that breaches these terms or presents a safety, rights or reliability concern. To request removal or correct a credit, use Contact & data requests. Do not publish identifying material about a child through an adult submission.

Nonpaying creator pilot

The optional creator pilot is a test for invited verified adults and reviewed game builds. Prototype units and example calculations are nonpurchasable, nontransferable and nonredeemable, have no cash value and create no right to future earnings. Historical plays, Likes and Follows are not converted to money. There is no withdrawal, bank onboarding, tipping, player prize, paid entry or wallet in this test.

Only sessions meeting the published versioned rules can contribute a provisional unit. Repeat limits, own or connected test play, unavailable consent, unapproved game versions, moderation and abuse review can prevent credit. Do not buy, exchange or automate engagement, split accounts to bypass limits, copy another creator’s work or encourage children to use adult credentials. Creators can review broad explanations and appeal their own statement decisions through their private Studio. A pending or simulated statement is not a payable balance.

Children and teens can keep using permitted nonpaying play and creation features without joining this test. Guardian publishing approval does not create a commercial earnings agreement. Read the separate creator pilot notice before choosing measurement. Any future financial programme requires separately approved funding, eligibility, creator rights agreements, legal and tax review, payment arrangements and new terms accepted before its start. Prototype activity is not retroactively payable.

Games, external services and availability

Games may differ in controls, device requirements, progress saving and offline support. Progress saved only in a browser does not automatically transfer to another device. Some multiplayer games support guest rooms separately from cloud accounts; room features vary by game. Some games rely on external libraries or services. Do not assume that installing LearnPlay downloads every game or that a saved-game bookmark backs up progress.

We may update or retire games and features. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free content or compatibility with every device. Nothing in these terms removes rights or protections that applicable law gives you.
